Even though it was the end of July when I visited Mt. Ranier, the wildflowers were in full bloom at the Sunrise Visitors Center. Meadows carpeted with purple lupine, magenta paintbrush, pink and white heather and many others had a backdrop of snow covered mountains. It was quite beautiful.

The weather was warm even though there was snow nearby. The top of Mt. Ranier is often wreathed in clouds and it can be difficult to get a clear photo but it is a beautiful place to hike. There are several easy hikes near the visitors center.
