This is Ke'e Beach as seen from the Na Pali Trail. This photo does not do it justice as it is even more beautiful than shown here. Ke'e is one of the best places on the island to snorkel, except in the winter when it is unsafe due to high waves. It is located past Princeville at the end of Hwy. 56 and the beginning of the Na Pali Coast Trail.
The reef forms a protected area that is full of brightly colored fish. It is quite an experience to be swimming or snorkeling in the lagoon area with large waves (often coming from different directions) breaking just outside the reef.
It is a joy to come down from hiking the Na Pali Trail, generally very hot and wet, and cool off in the beautiful turquoise water.
